There are several “spokes” to the wheel of success when trying to break as an emerging artist and building your team - management, booking, entertainment lawyer, and PR - but many artists starting off do not understand what PR is, what the term means, or how it can help them launch their careers. Panalists will provide a 101 course on the PR basics and everything emerging artists need to know before hiring a publicist, what it means to be “press ready,” working with management and other team members, how to properly manage expectations after hiring a publicist, and what you can do to further your chances of PR success. Panel will be open to questions and comments regarding the audience’s own experiences with PR or future concerns.
